Rent a Car App: FAQ
Fixes for the most common Rent a Car App problems, from the app missing on the phone to vehicles that cannot be picked up.
Turn on Debug first
Set Debug = true in both hype-rentacar and hype-rentacar-app. The app logs every phone request, and hype-rentacar
logs why it was accepted or refused.
The folder must be named hype-rentacar-app. Rename it back and restart.
lb-phone must be running; the app is added a second after lb-phone starts. Look for Failed to add the lb-phone
app in the client console. With App.defaultApp = false, players install it from the App Store first.
hype-rentacar is not running, or its folder was renamed. Start it before the app and check its console for errors, for example a missing database table.
Remote.enabled is false in hype-rentacar's config. Set it to true to allow phone rentals.
Phone rentals are not delivered. Tap Go to Nearest Office on the My Rentals tab, drive there and talk to the clerk. The pickup window opens, and the vehicle spawns once you confirm.
That office has its own vehicles list without this model. Pick it up at another office.
It only works for rentals that were picked up and whose vehicle no longer exists, while more than a minute is left.
Get out of your vehicle first. There is no free spot next to you means no free road or spot was found within
SpawnRadius; move to an open road. Respawn.enabled and Respawn.remote must both be true.
The live refresh needs qbx_core, qb-core or es_extended. Without one, the balance refreshes when the app is opened.
Like any rental: bring the vehicle to an office and press Return at the clerk. A rental that was never picked up can be returned at an office too, with the full deposit back.
The app has its own locale files. Add the label under ui.categories in the app's locales/*.json as well.
Yes. Change App.name, App.developer and App.description for the App Store listing, and replace
web/build/icon.svg for the icon. The colors and currency come from hype-rentacar's UI.
Set setr ox:locale "tr" (or another code) in server.cfg. See Locales.
Download the new version, replace the folder and keep your config/config.lua. Update hype-rentacar to a matching
version, and check the changelog for new options.
