Bodycam: FAQ
Fixes for the most common Bodycam problems, from item use and access to "NO SIGNAL" feeds.
Turn on Debug first
With Debug = true, the script prints every step to the console: access checks, camera binding, stream start and
stop, viewers. It is the fastest way to find a problem.

qbx_core, qb-core or es_extended is not running, or hype-bodycam starts before it. Move ensure hype-bodycam
below your framework in server.cfg.
The folder was renamed. It must be named exactly hype-bodycam.
Check that the item name matches Item in the config. On ox_inventory, make sure the client.export line is in
the item definition. On qb-inventory and ESX, the item must be useable.
Your job is not in Access.groups, your grade is below the minimum, or you are off duty while Access.requireDuty
is true.
Check ViewAccess.groups and ViewAccess.ace. Admins with the group.admin ace can watch without a job by default.
No target resource was found (no supported target resource found in the Debug output). Start ox_target or
qb-target before the script, or set Command to open the list by command.
The target may be too far away to stream in for the viewer. Raise CullingPadding. Players in a different routing
bucket cannot be watched either.
Your inventory cannot store item metadata (for example the built-in ESX inventory), so the serial is derived from the character. Use ox_inventory or qb-inventory for a serial per item.
Only vehicle classes in Dashcam.classes (default: Emergency) and models in Dashcam.models get one. Check that the
model is not in Dashcam.excluded, and that the officer's bodycam is recording when they get in.
Set Debug = true, watch that vehicle's feed and press C to copy the camera offset. Add it to
Dashcam.vehicles for that model.
Yes. Call exports["hype-bodycam"]:Open() on the client. It still checks ViewAccess, but is not tied to a
terminal. See Exports & Events.
Set setr ox:locale "tr" (or another code) in server.cfg. See Locales.
Download the new version, replace the folder and keep your config/config.lua. Check the
changelog for any new options.
